PPR request

Authorization for the use of the airfield.

What is the PPR

PPR, which stands for Prior Permission Required, is a term used in aviation that indicates the need to obtain prior permission in order to carry out certain airport operations. In essence, it is a permit that must be applied for and obtained before you can land, take off, or simply stop at a particular airport.

Why is the PPR necessary?

Air traffic management: OSR is used to efficiently manage air traffic, especially at small airports or at certain time slots where available space is limited.
Availability of services: Ensures the availability of airport services (hangar, technical assistance, etc.) when the aircraft arrives.
Safety: Helps to ensure a higher level of safety by avoiding congestion or conflict situations in the airspace.

When is the PPR necessary?

General aviation: It is especially common for general aviation aircraft, i.e., private aircraft or aircraft used for non-commercial purposes.
Small airports: Smaller airports are more subject to space and resource constraints, so OSR is often mandatory.
Peak hours: Even at larger airports, during peak hours, OSR may be required to better manage air traffic.
